How a Dronotix contract actually moves
Five steps, two roles, one shared contract code. Here's exactly what the buyer does, what the vendor does, and where the money sits at every point.
Fund wallet
Buyer deposits crypto
Create contract
Terms & code generated
Vendor confirms
Code accepted, work begins
Delivered
Buyer reviews outcome
Released
Vendor is paid
What happens at each step
Every contract on Dronotix follows the same sequence this is the part most escrow platforms skip explaining.
Create a contract agreement
The buyer opens a new contract and enters what's being bought, the agreed price in crypto, delivery deadline, and any conditions for acceptance (e.g. "source files included," "item must arrive undamaged"). This becomes the binding reference both sides agree to before any money moves.
Fund the escrow wallet
The buyer sends the agreed amount in BTC, ETH, or USDT to a unique Dronotix escrow wallet address generated for that contract. The funds are not sent to the vendor Dronotix holds them in custody, and the contract status updates to "Funded."
Generate and send the contract code
Once funding clears, Dronotix generates a unique contract code tied to that specific escrow. The buyer sends this code to the vendor (seller) by chat, email, or however they already communicate. The code is proof the contract is real and funded.
Vendor confirms the code
The vendor enters the contract code on Dronotix to confirm they're the intended recipient and that they accept the terms. This locks in the vendor's wallet address as the release destination and signals the buyer that work can begin.
Vendor delivers the job or product
The vendor completes the agreed work or ships the agreed product, then marks the contract as "Delivered" on Dronotix, optionally attaching proof files, tracking numbers, screenshots, or photos.
Buyer reviews and releases funds
The buyer checks the delivered work or product against the original contract terms. If satisfied, the buyer releases the escrowed funds they move directly to the vendor's confirmed wallet. The contract closes and is archived for both parties.
If buyer and vendor disagree on whether terms were met, either side can open a dispute before release. Dronotix reviews the contract terms and any submitted evidence before funds move in either direction. See our dispute FAQ for details.
What each party is responsible for
Controls funding and release
Creates the contract, funds the wallet, shares the code, and is the only party who can release funds. The buyer never loses control of their crypto until they personally confirm satisfaction.
Confirms and delivers
Receives the contract code from the buyer, confirms it on Dronotix to accept the job, then delivers the product or service. Payment arrives automatically once the buyer releases funds no invoicing required.
